Recognized as a Military Friendly and Best for Vets School

At UNC Greensboro, we are committed to serving those who have served.  Military-affiliated students are a very important part of the UNC Greensboro community, and we strive to make the transition from military service to student as easy as possible.  We understand the unique challenges military students face when returning to the classroom, but also the tremendous benefits these students provide to our campus.

Specifically, our staff serve as advocates for students by providing information about the University and assisting with Veteran’s Administration (VA) programs and certification. The VA Certifying Officials for UNC Greensboro serves as a liaison between the University and the Veteran’s Administration to provide information on University procedures, and assistance with problems regarding eligibility and payment of VA benefits.

UNC Greensboro has been named by G.I. Jobs Magazine as a Military Friendly School, and is a highly recognized nationally.

Salute to Service Luncheon Featuring Panel Discussions with Arizona Military Leaders
College Avenue Commons, Devils Oasis (second floor of Marketplace)
A panel of military leaders will discuss particular technological threats and evolving challenges to U.S. national security and our alliance system — but also the broader challenge of maintaining awareness among both elites and average citizens, nearly two decades after the 9/11 attacks, of the need for vigilant attention to American national security strategy and the resources needed to accomplish its main objectives. Arizona military senior enlisted advisers will define the nature of what it means to serve in the military today, and why that service and sacrifice matters to our nation at this pivotal moment in our country’s history.
